ABSTRACT

Protein structures play key roles in determining protein functions, activities, stability and sub-cellular localization. The protein function is almost completely dependent on protein structure. Protein Structure prediction is one of the primary goal of bioinformatics today. The prediction involves predicting the three dimensional structure of the amino acid sequence. In this work, we have tried to develop protein structure of STAT6, a transcription factor of STAT family. For this purpose, Homo sapiens protein sequences were collected from Uniprot. We performed BLAST to find out the target homologous proteins to obtain the templates. Then it was run into Modeller which gives five different possible structures.
