ABSTRACT

We study the generalized model of circadian oscillator which can describe clock mechanism both in plants and animals. We investigate possible coupling mechanisms among a group of such identical oscillators and found that the oscillators could able to process signal among them. We studied this cellular communication by incorporating the effect of system size on the protein population dynamics. We found the behaviour of the protein dynamics are noise induced stochastic process. The effect of noise fluctuation decreases as system size increases which significantly reduces the value of coupling strength to process signal at larger system size. The amplitude of each clock proteins are significantly affected by system size but time period remains almost the same. Read more…
